Meet Hannah

Photo of Hannah Bellows, the owner and teacher at Prestige Performing Arts

Hannah is a college-educated performer and director who has been teaching private lessons since 2014. Her training began with her experiences in piano lessons, audition-only choirs, and theatre productions at the Waterbury Arts Magnet School and the local community. She went on to earn her B.A. in Musical Theatre from Western Connecticut State University, which was ranked as one of the USA's Top 10 Musical Theatre Programs. During her senior year, she participated in the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Fesitval in the Directing category, moved forward to the National level, and was one of just two young directors in the nation to earn the National Directing Fellowship.

Along the way, Hannah benefitted from years of private voice lessons and pre-professoinal study with Marianna Vagnini-Dadamo, Deborah Lifton, and Julio Agustin Matos. She was continually inspired by the unique empowerment and effectiveness of her personalized private instruction, and hoped to share that experience with others someday.

After earning her B.A in Musical Theatre, Hannah went on to work in theatre performance and production, but she truly found her calling when she began to teach private lessons in voice, piano, acting, and ballroom dance. She found that she excels in getting to know her students and their goals, and then customizing lessons and approaches unique to them. Today, Hannah has honed an uplifting teaching style, which empowers students to achieve their dreams by equipping them with techniques that prioritize healthy technique, range, and emotional connection. She welcomes students of all ages, stages, and experience levels, and strives with them to achieve their goals to the best of their ability!
