About Hannah
Hannah Bellows is a professionally trained performer and director, who has been teaching private lessons since 2014. Her education began with private piano lessons, audition-only choirs, and many theatre productions at the Waterbury Arts Magnet School. She went on to earn her B.A. in Musical Theatre from Western Connecticut State University - which is recognized as one of the nation’s top musical theatre programs - where she blossomed as a performer and director.

During her senior year, Hannah was nominated to participate in the Kennedy Center’s American College Theatre Festival as a Director. She advanced to the National level, and was ultimately one of just 2 young directors in the United States awarded the SDC National Directing Fellowship.
Over the years, Hannah learned immeasurably from her vocal training with Marianna Vagnini-Dadamo, Deborah Lifton, and Julio Agustin Matos. Once she began working professionally in theatre performance and production, Hannah discovered her own passion and skill for teaching private lessons.

Now, with a decade of teaching experience under her belt, Hannah is valued for her personalized, uplifting approach. She tailors each lesson to her students' unique goals, while prioritizing healthy technique, emotional connection, and confident self-expression. Hannah humbly offers her services as your expert performing arts teacher in Meriden, CT, and the surrounding area. She welcomes students of all ages, life stages, and experience levels, and is committed to empowering them with the tools they need to reach their fullest potential.

Teaching Philosophy
Prestige Studio of Performing Arts offers private lessons that Empower All Artists. We accomplish this through the following three-tiered approach:

Personalization
We welcome students of all ages, life stages, and experience levels to express their inner artistry. We customize lessons to each student's goals, personality, experience level, learning style and pace, and preferred format (in-person or virtual). This way, instruction is as unique as each student, and progress feels fun, supportive, and achievable.
Health
We prioritize fostering our students' overall health. We prioritize teaching safe techniques that do not strain the body, but prime students for a lifetime of healthy, authentic artistic expression. We also prioritize empathy, seeking to understand each student and the unique life factors and experiences that impact their learning. Our supportive, holistic approach helps our students build a solid foundation for performance and personal growth.
Confidence
We build students' confidence in their artistry and in themselves. Lessons are designed to demystify unfamiliar or intimidating concepts, equip students with specific, actionable, reliable tools for success, and foster students' self-assurance, resilience, and joy. This approach empowers students to perform with confidence and carry a love of music into daily life.
